LUMIERE BALLET SUMMER PROGRAMS
July 5th to August 20
It is not enough to please the eye; we strive to engage the heart!
|
The curriculum affords an excellent opportunity to greatly improve technical skills, develop self awareness and gain a deeper understanding of individual artistic potential. Students gain greater strength, precision, confidence and knowledge. Ultimately, they are prepared to compete on a National level and for professional work.
In the summer the student can utilize valuable daytime hours and, without the pressure of schoolwork, can raise his/her level of technical performance. In addition to technique classes, full periods can be devoted to the artistic development as the various classes (ballet, pointe, variations, character dance, partnering) can all be intertwined with other art forms (music, acting, history, literature). In the Summer Intensive Studies, students acquire an extended repertoire for classical and contemporary ballet performances.
